The card is checked, not charged. You get a new key and the old one stops working.

    • Paid by UPI, Cash App, Link or crypto, or a gift codeCannot be recovered

There is no card to check and no other way to find the account. Your saved copy is the only way back.

What is the account key?

It looks like nk-7fq2-xxxx-xxxx-w8ve: “nk-” and four groups of four letters and numbers. It is your whole login. There is no email and no password.

The key holds your plan and credit balance, which our server keeps. It does not hold your chats, projects, images or memory. Those stay in the browser where you made them.

Free use needs no key.

How do I save my key?

Right after you pay, the welcome page shows your key under “Your account key”. This browser already has it saved. Save a copy too.

  1. Press Copy key and paste it into a password manager, or press Download file to save nokeep-account-key.txt.
  2. Keep the copy private. Anyone with the key can use your plan and credits.
  3. Press I have saved my key to go back to the chat.

To see the key again later, open account rowthen Settingsthen Account key. The account row is at the bottom of the sidebar and shows Free or your plan. The middle of the key is hidden until you press the eye button.

How do I add my key on another device or browser?

  1. Open nokeep.ai/chat on the other device.
  2. Open account rowthen Settingsthen Account key.
  3. Paste the key into “Your account key”, or press load your key file and pick nokeep-account-key.txt. If a key is already there, press Use a different key first.
  4. Press Use key. nokeep checks the key before it saves it.

Your plan and credits now work on this device too. Your chats do not come with the key. To move them, back up on the old device and restore on the new one: Back up and restore.

If you see “We couldn’t verify that key”, check for a typo and try again. Your current access does not change.

How do I recover a lost key?

This works if you paid by card. Nothing is charged.

  1. Open account rowthen Settingsthen Account keythen Lost your key?.
  2. Press Continue to Stripe and enter the card you paid with. It is checked, not charged.
  3. Back on nokeep you see “Found it.” and your new key. Save it, then press Done.

The new key replaces the old one, and the old key stops working. Your plan, credits and auto top-up move to the new key.

If the card does not match, you see “Something snagged.” Try the exact card you paid with. Recovery allows about three tries every 10 minutes.

What if I cannot recover it?

Recovery needs a card. Keys paid for with UPI, Cash App, Link or crypto, and keys made by redeeming a gift code, have no card on file. We cannot look the account up any other way: we have no email for you, and the contact page cannot restore a key.

A gift-code key becomes recoverable once you buy a plan or credits by card while it is on your device.

A lost key does not touch your chats. They stay in your browser.

How do I remove the key from a device?

  1. Open account rowthen Settingsthen Forget this device.
  2. Press Forget device.

This removes the key from this browser only. Your plan and credits stay on the key, and your chats stay in the browser. Paste the key back in to use the plan here again. The option shows only while the key has an active plan or credits.

Common questions

Someone else has my key. What do I do?

Anyone with the key can use its plan and credits. If you paid by card, run Lost your key? with that card: you get a new key and the old one stops working.

Is the key in my backup file?

No. Backups never include the account key. Save it separately.

Can I change my key?

Not with a button. Card recovery gives you a new key and switches off the old one.
