How do I use AI without an account?
Three routes work: a no-account hosted chat like nokeep or DuckDuckGo’s Duck.ai, a model running locally on your own machine, or a logged-out mode on a mainstream assistant — though the last of those is rate-limited and changes nothing about what the server stores.
Why the account is the thing that matters
An account is an identity, and an identity is what converts a pile of messages into a record about a person. Without one there is nothing for a conversation to be filed under, nothing to subpoena by name, and nothing to breach that identifies you.
Everything else people reach for — private browsing, VPNs, deleting history — operates below that layer and leaves the account untouched. They are worth doing, but they do not address the thing that actually creates exposure.
The three routes, honestly ranked
Run it locally. Ollama, LM Studio or GPT4All on your own hardware is the strongest possible answer, because nothing leaves the machine. It costs a capable GPU, some setup, and a real drop in model quality versus the frontier.
Use a no-account hosted chat. Duck.ai is the well-known one: free, no sign-up, and not used for training — but text only, and it inherits the underlying vendors’ refusals. nokeep is the same shape without those two limits: no account, nothing stored, images and video, and no moderation layer added.
Use a logged-out mainstream assistant. Convenient, but the weakest of the three: heavily limited, and the server-side behaviour is unchanged.

Is a no-account AI chat safe to use?
The absence of an account removes one specific risk — a durable record tied to you. It says nothing about the quality of the operator, so the questions worth asking are what the provider behind it retains and whether the claim can be checked.
How do I pay without creating an account?
On nokeep, paying returns a claim key rather than a profile — no email, no password. The card is handled by the payment processor, and the statement shows the operating company’s name rather than the product.
Does a VPN do the same thing?
No. A VPN changes which network the request appears to come from. If you are signed into an account, the account still identifies you.
