Separate the things you want to control
Tracking a visit, retaining a chat, saving a preference, and training a model are different activities. Ask which identifiers a provider stores and for how long, whether it links them across visits, and whether it shares them with other services.
A chatbot can offer browser-local history while still needing operational counters or payment records. Conversely, a cloud-history product may offer a no-training setting. Judge each claim within its stated scope.
Make deliberate choices before sending
Use the minimum information necessary for the question. Review the privacy policy for the specific plan and turn off optional data uses you do not want. Check connected tools separately before letting them search, read documents, or act on your behalf.
Keep browser and extensions maintained. Restrict page-reading extensions and avoid a shared browser profile for sensitive drafts. Cookie deletion alone does not prevent every recognition technique.

No. Training is one use of data. Visit records, history storage, personalization, and payment processing have separate policies.
Is incognito mode sufficient?
It can limit local browser persistence. It does not prevent the AI service from receiving the prompt or seeing information involved in the connection.
