How do I make a backup?

  1. Open account rowthen Settingsthen Back up. The account row is at the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. Under Save a backup, add a password if you want the file encrypted.
  3. Press Export. The file is saved to your downloads.

The backup holds your chats, projects, files, characters, memory, images and instructions. It never includes your account key. A backup can be up to 200 MB.

Without a password, anyone with the file can read it. A forgotten password cannot be recovered.

How do I restore a backup?

  1. Open nokeep in the browser you want the chats in.
  2. Open account rowthen Settingsthen Back up.
  3. Under Restore a backup, choose the backup file and enter its password if it has one.
  4. Check what is inside, then press Restore.

Only missing items are added. Nothing already in this browser is overwritten. To bring your plan too, add your key: Your account key.

How do I erase everything on this device?

  1. Open account rowthen Settingsthen Erase everything.
  2. Confirm with Erase.

Every chat, project, file, character, memory, image and your instructions in this browser are deleted. We keep no copy, so only your own backup can bring them back.

Erasing does not remove your account key. To remove it, use account rowthen Settingsthen Forget this device.

Clearing this site’s data in your browser settings also deletes everything nokeep keeps in the browser.
