Quickstart

Three values and any OpenAI SDK. Try them with the free test key first; when your setup connects, make a real key and the same code answers for real.

Checked 26 October 2026

The three values

Base URL
https://nokeep.ai/v1
API key
sk-nokeep-test (free, a fixed reply) or your own sk-nokeep-… key
Model
deepseek-v4.1-flash-uncensored

Every OpenAI-compatible SDK and app takes these three. Nothing else changes: the request and the reply are OpenAI’s chat completions format.

Check your setup with the test key

sk-nokeep-test answers every model id with one fixed line that names the model and what the call would have cost. It never reaches a model and costs nothing, so you can wire up your code or your app before you buy anything. More about the test key.

Try it here, free

This sends a real request to the API with the test key. It answers one fixed line and costs nothing.

Make your first call

Put your key in an environment variable, point the SDK at nokeep, and send a message.

import os
from openai import OpenAI

client = OpenAI(
    base_url="https://nokeep.ai/v1",
    api_key=os.environ["NOKEEP_API_KEY"],
)

reply = client.chat.completions.create(
    model="deepseek-v4.1-flash-uncensored",
    messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Play the rival. Don't go easy on me."}],
)
print(reply.choices[0].message.content)

Export the test key as NOKEEP_API_KEY to run this free. With your own key it answers for real, and the reply’s usage says what it cost.

Make a real key

  1. Open the console and buy credits, from $5. Buying them makes your account; there is no email or password.
  2. Press New key, name it after the app it is for, and set a daily cap in dollars.
  3. Copy the key. It is shown once; we keep a fingerprint of it, not the key.

The API spends credits you bought. A plan’s credits stay in the app.

Questions

Do I need an account to try it?

No. sk-nokeep-test works without one and costs nothing. A real key needs credits, from $5, and buying them makes the account.

Which SDK should I use?

Any OpenAI-compatible one: the official Python and JavaScript SDKs, LangChain, LiteLLM, the Vercel AI SDK, or plain HTTP.
