Can AI chats be used in court?
AI chats can become relevant in a legal dispute. Whether they must be disclosed or may be admitted as evidence depends on the jurisdiction and facts. A private service, no-account mode, or deletion button does not create legal immunity.

Disclosure and admissibility are separate questions
In US federal civil litigation, rules on discovery can reach relevant electronically stored information, subject to limits and protections. Whether a particular chat may then be used as evidence is a separate question. Other jurisdictions have their own rules.
If a dispute is underway or reasonably anticipated, ask a qualified lawyer about preservation duties before changing or deleting relevant records. Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 37(e) addresses loss of electronically stored information that should have been preserved.
A chat can exist in more than one place
Consider the copy saved by the service, the browser, a download, a screenshot, a recipient, or a device backup. Even when a provider has no conversation archive, one of those other copies may exist. Operational or payment records are different from message content.
A model’s answer is generated text. It can misstate events, invent citations, or reflect an incomplete prompt. Keep the surrounding context when evaluating what an exchange actually shows.
What nokeep’s privacy model means
nokeep does not keep a server-side chat-history archive. The saved copy is in your browser, while prompts are processed by hosted providers. This reduces one kind of stored record; it does not promise that every copy disappears or that the service is exempt from legal process.
