How do I make a clip from text?
- Tap Video in the mode pill next to the message box.
- Tap the lit Video part again to open its settings. Set Duration (5 to 15 seconds; the price in credits shows beside it) and Aspect ratio.
- Describe the clip (“Describe a video…”) and send.
You can keep typing, or use other chats, while it renders. Keep the tab open until it finishes: closing or reloading the page loses a clip that is still being made.
How do I animate a picture?
- Under an image in the chat, press Animate. Or in Video mode, open then Add stills to animate and pick one picture.
- Describe what should happen.
- Send. The clip opens on your picture and takes its shape.
A clip from a picture always uses credits, even when you have a free clip left.
How do I use reference images?
Reference images guide the subject and style, and none of them becomes the first frame. Attach two or more pictures and they are references by default; one picture is the first frame. Each picture has a Use as switch to change between First frame and Reference.
- In Video mode, open then Add stills to animate and pick two or more pictures.
- Describe the clip and send.
Reference clips cost 192 credits a second instead of 96.
How do I continue a clip?
- Under a clip, press Continue.
- Describe what happens next and send. The new clip starts on the last frame of the old one.
A continued clip starts from a picture, so it always uses credits.
Common questions
Is video free?
You get 1 free 5-second clip a day from text, while the free supply lasts. Clips from a picture, reference clips and continued clips always use credits.

96 credits a second, so a 5-second clip is 480. Reference clips are 192 credits a second. The exact price shows before you send.
Can I stop a clip?
Stop before it starts rendering and nothing is charged. After that, Stop frees the message box but the clip keeps rendering.
