Alternative
A Perplexity alternative for private drafting alongside web research
nokeep can be an alternative workspace for people who want chat, optional web search, and creative tools without an account. It does not claim feature parity with Perplexity’s research products. Saved nokeep conversations stay in the current browser.

Test research quality using the sources
For a research task, compare whether sources directly support each claim, whether dates match the question, and whether important contrary evidence is included. A list of citations alone does not establish accuracy. Open the underlying pages before using an answer in published work.
Review settings before switching
Perplexity documents collected device and interaction data and an AI Data Usage control. Check the policy for your actual plan and feature, including uploads and connected tools. A paid subscription or a training preference should not be treated as a blanket retention promise.
What you get with nokeep
Free use includes 25 chat messages and 2 images a day, with a daily clip while the free supply lasts. Additional use is available through credits or optional plans. Check current pricing and the in-app estimate for the work you want to do.
Your saved conversations live in your browser; nokeep does not keep a server-side chat-history archive. Hosted providers still process prompts, and operational or payment records may exist. Export work you want to preserve before clearing browser data. Individual models can refuse requests or make mistakes.

Asked before you asked
Is nokeep a replacement for every Perplexity research feature?
No. Test the actual research workflow and source quality. nokeep adds local saved work and creative tools, with its own limits.
Do I need to create a nokeep account to try it?
No. The free tier needs no email, password, or card. Paid access uses a claim key; payment processing is covered separately in the privacy policy.
